PCC will be holding a special election, for the following positions:
President Elect, Treasurer Elect, Do Education, Do Education Elect, Chapter Liaison - Membership
We also need volunteers for Conference Committee, Nominations Committee and Scholarship Committee
No matter how big or small you want to contribute, we need you!
The 2024 PCC Annual Election for Board of Directors named above, will run September 22nd to 29th, 2024. Nominations are now open to eligible members of PCC. Please consider service to the region and nominate a qualifying individual(s), or yourself (Yes, you may nominate yourself), for one of five open positions.

Elect positions are one year term, non-voting positions to allow for smooth transition into Board Members positions.
Treasurer Elect position designed as a one year term to give you a chance to learn from current Treasurer
The treasurer is responsible for all of the financial transactions executed by the Pacific Coast Chapter (PCC) board. Duties include reconciling the organization’s checking and investment statements monthly and reimbursement of expenses in a timely manner. The treasurer also disburses funds to scholarship recipients. This position holder will also need to act as the registrar for the annual conference and ensures that each board member adheres to his or her yearly budget. This board member conducts three financial audits per year and submits an end of year financial statement to the National WOCN®.
Time commitment: 1 hour/month to several hours/week during conference planning season
President-Elect
The President-Elect shall assist the President and shall substitute for the President when required to and shall chair meetings in the absence of the President. The President-Elect shall be an ex-officiomember, without vote, of all committees, except the Leadership Development Committee or as otherwise provided by these Bylaws. The President-Elect shall, in general, perform all duties customarily incident to the office of President-Elect and such other duties as may be prescribed from time to time by the Board of Directors. The President-Elect shall succeed to the office of President upon expiration of the President’s term of office, and in the event of the death, resignation, removal, or incapacity of the President.

· Great organizational skills
· Able to negotiate well with others.
· Able to attend scheduled teleconferences.
· Travel within California, Hawaii and /or Nevada to identify future conference site, set/ break down logistic.
Responsibilities
· Two-year term
· Expected to be active participants in PCC Board meetings via conference call and/ or in person.
· Update the conference planning manual /Education Director Process documents and, maintains records required for contact hours.
· Provide a written /PowerPoint report of yearly activities to the PCC President prior to the annual business meeting at the annual PCC conference, and as requested.
· Work in collaboration with the Treasurer/ event planner/ vendor coordinator to ensure the set financial and budgetary interests of the Region/Chapter.
· Will be able to communicate information to the PCC board allowing them to make ultimate decisions on conference content and financials.
· Collaborate with regional event and vendor conference planner through the process of planning a successful PCC annual conference.
· Responsible for creating and submitting the following CE activity items: Program brochure, speaker bios / conflict of interest forms, needs assessments forms /primary evidence, educational planning tables, commercial interest/sponsorship forms, evaluation template, collect /review speaker handouts/actual PPT presentations and reviews evaluations to update future programs including content and speakers.
· Identifies sites and establishes dates for future annual conferences on an annual basis with Board input.
· At the end of the term of office submit all records /equipment to the new Education Director at the end of the term of office. The transition handoff, if possible, should take place at the PCC annual conference.
Chapter Liaison - Membership
Contact members who are first time attendees at regional conferences to welcome them and answer questions.
· Request list of first-time attendees and send a welcome letter. Two months after regional conference
Solicit new PCR membership.
· Serve as board liaison to Nominating Committee. Elections held in September; election results communicated to PCR membership by October 31st.
Assist in maintaining Peer Groups/Communities Coordinator list.
Contact any local Peer Group leaders to locate changes in addresses or contact info for group members; coordinate with other PCR BOD to keep Peer Groups apprised of PCR activities. Ongoing.
Review and propose changes to PCR P & P and Bylaws with recommendations to the BOD for review and approval. Annually.
Submit proposed budget requests to the Treasurer in preparation of annual budget.
Annually.
Submit travel expenses to the Treasurer within 30 days of being incurred.
Required board member attendance at meetings.
