The 2023 PCR Annual Election for Board of Directors named above, will be opened on: TBD. Nominations are now open to eligible members of PCR. Please consider service to the region and nominate a qualifying individual(s), or yourself (Yes, you may nominate yourself), for one of four open positions, 3 elected and one nominated by the President. More information about each of the elected positions is available below.
Treasurer
The treasurer is responsible for all of the financial transactions executed by the Pacific Coast Region (PCR) board. Duties include reconciling the organization’s checking and investment statements monthly and reimbursement of expenses in a timely manner. The treasurer also disburses funds to scholarship recipients. This position holder will also need to act as the registrar for the annual conference and ensures that each board member adheres to his or her yearly budget. This board member conducts three financial audits per year and submits an end of year financial statement to the National WOCN®.
Time commitment: 1 hour/month to several hours/week during conference planning season
Secretary
The secretary has to attend BoD meetings to take minutes during the meetings. There is some minor prep work before and editing afterwards of the minutes. Note attendance at meetings. The length of most meetings is one hour. There is a longer budget meeting once a year. If there are any documents emailed, the secretary has to download them onto an external hard drive. Compile any requested historical information.
Time commitment: 1-2 hrs a month for most BoD meetings.
Director of Education
The Pacific Coast Region (PCR) Education Director shall work with the Board of Directors, the regional event planner and, vendor coordinator(s) to ensure a successful PCR Regional conference each spring. Additional duties include updating the conference planning manual, maintenance of records required for contact hours, development of CE activities.
Time commitment: 1-2 hours/month to numerous hours/week during conference planning season.
