MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT
Well, it has been an eventful four years as president of PCR – with your help PCR has grown and we now have 465 members. PCR remains a financially sound organization in spite of the many economic changes over the past few years. PCR has provided me the opportunity to grow professionally and personally – it has been a joy to work with you. I will continue to support PCR but in a different manner.

The East Bay support group meets 4 times a year at Katy’s Kreek Restaurant in Walnut Creek. Our meetings are held in February, May August and November. Anyone is welcome to attend. Inland Empire Support Group…

L.A. Support Group…
The Los Angeles group meets every other month on the 3rd Thursday of the month with July being dark. We meet at UCLA Medical Center and Linda Roof RN CWOCN puts the meeting together. We meet for rolls, fruit and coffee @ 7:30 AM. Reno Support Group…
For those who are not aware of our area we provide networking via emails between meeting, since we are so spread out with members attending from Lake Tahoe area and Truckee in California and out to the rural areas up to 100+ miles. It was quite a challenge for some to attend luncheon meetings and often even evening meeting during winter snow storms.
Therefore the support group changed to all dinner meeting on the odd months of the year. All meetings are held at the Artisan’s conference center adjacent to Renown RMC on the third Thursday of the month. We are very grateful for the tremendous support from our vendors for our meetings and the sign ups for sponsor filled up in a week. We are sorry we were not being able to accommodate all who wish to sponsor our meetings at this time.
The support group is gearing up for the national UOAA conference next August under the guidance of Marilee Katz (coordinator between UOAA and WOCN) and will be volunteering for the two day stoma workshop.
All nurses and PutÕs with interest in the specialty are welcome to our meeting. If you are in our area on the third Thursday of the month call and come for dinner.
