President’s Message

This year, 2013, begins with mixed emotions for me, as I step down from a two-year tenure as PCR President and welcome your new President for 2013-2015, Lisa Foster. As I write this, plans are solidly underway for our annual conference in Pasadena, CA, and we hope to have at least as good a turnout as we had in Napa last year. Please check out our website-pcr.org-to read more about the conference and plan on joining us there!

The following are your elected Board of Directors:

Lisa Foster, President, 2013-2015
Donna Rositani, Vice President
Karen Krause, Treasurer
Daniel Zimmerman, Membership Chair
Linda Morawek Schultz, Public Relations Chair
Jennifer Reynolds, Communications Chair
Daphne Weiland, Education Chair
Terry Renteria, Secretary

Congratulations to all!

WOCNews: We continue to post our regional updates, which includes any election results, conference information, scholarship information, etc. Please give your Board feedback and share the names of any of our members that deserve recognition for awards, etc. in this publication.

Nominating Committee: This committee consists of Linda Shiraishi and Chungmei Shih (elected members) and Cheryl Bartholomew, chair (appointed). This year four of the Board positions are up for election: Vice-President, Treasurer, Membership, and Public Relations. Please take time to look at the Process Documents (job descriptions) on the website and consider serving on the Board. (Click on the photo of the officer, which brings up the Process Document). Your Nominating Committee will be available to you during the conference-so don’t be bashful about approaching any of us to ask questions.
Remember: Board members are all volunteers! Be the next one to raise your hand!!

Finances: We continue to maintain PCR on solid financial ground, and hope to expand our endeavors to offer funds for scholarships. Look for more information at our General Membership Meeting/Breakfast on Saturday, March 2, 8am – 10:30am.

Thanks to all of you for all your support, your kindnesses, and your patience. My very special thanks to all my ‘Board-mates!’ There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes throughout, and they make it happen.

Have a wonderful year! Peace to you and yours!

Cheryl Bartholomew
