2016 PCR Regional Social
WOCN National Conference in Montreal, Canada
Montreal is a beautiful island connected by 17 bridges to the mainland. There are many things to see. I loved “Old Town Montreal” the best. It was just 5 to7 blocks from the Convention Center. It was safe and easy to walk around. There are many tiny cafes for the workers as well as us tourist. You could also find fine dining at the Restaurants located in Old Town. The Notre Dame Church is located here and it is spectacular.
The speakers and choices of topics at the conference were for the new as well as the seasoned WOC nurse. There were also offerings for Advance Practice RNs. A benefit of being a member of WOCN Society is if you were unable to attend you could stream some of the lectures and get free CEU’s.
On Monday night of the Conference, the Regions held their Socials. WOCN Society provided food. Pacific Coast Region had 44 attending our Social. We had 3 new WOC nurses. We want to welcome them into the fold and hope they join us in Newport Beach for our 2017 Regional Conference in February. We had time to network with our fellow members and enjoy a glass or two of wine. I would like to thank all of those that attended the Social. I am hoping to see all of you in Newport Beach in 2017.
